Heart Kids Victoria

On Sunday 19th November, the club will be hosting their third Heart Kids Day at Myuna Community Farm in Doveton. Whilst a little overcast in the morning last year, it turned out to be a fantastic day with over 250 attending. Everyone was able to enjoy the facilities at Myuna Farm, the pony rides, train rides down to the wetlands and of course, petting the farm animals. The club put on a sausage sizzle, ice creams courtsy of Regal cream, lollies and a birthday cake. We would also like to thank Glenn and Mark from Megacastles for the donation of the jumping castle. The club also presented a cheque to Heart Kids from the proceeds of the 2006 September Art Show.

Pictured on the left is Belinda Frank and her two children Joshua (alias spiderman) and Jayde receiving their City of Casey show bag from Kiwanian Mike Newman.

On the right, families wait patiently as Kiwanians prepare to serve the sausage sizzle. There was plenty for everyone, including a cool drink sponsored by McDonalds - Sunbury.

We are extremly grateful to the Myuna Farm management and staff for their support for a third year in a row.

SEPTEMBER ART SHOW - 2007

Our annual September Art Show was held on the weekend of Friday 14th September to Sunday 16th September at the Memorial Hall, Barkly Street, Sunbury. This was undoubtedly our best show to date. We had a record number of artists, a record number of paintings, and record attendances. Pictured on the left are artists and patrons enjoying the opening night.

The club will be presenting a cheque to the Police Citizens Youth Club to help them in their valuable work.

Club has 26th Birthday

On Monday 5th June, the Sunbury club celebrated its 26th birthday.

That's is twenty six years of community service in Sunbury and still going strong. As part of the celebrations three members received their Legion of Honor certificates and pins. This is in recognition of being charter members with twenty five years of continuous service. Congratulations to Keith McRae, Mike Newman, and Garry Warner.

The picture above shows Kiwanian Garry Warner receiving his Legion of Honour certificate.
